I grew up with health-minded parents. Although my dad had a job in the corporate world, on the weekends he would work either in his flower or vegetable garden. When he retired, my parents moved to Virginia and bought a farm. It didn’t turn out to be retirement at all, because Dad spent nearly every day growing food that would be stocked in my mom’s small farm shop.

Mom always prepared fresh vegetables and well-balanced meals for my family, so it was both sad and surprising when my dad was diagnosed with parotid cancer. In support of his treatment plan, he switched out his toxic body-care products for plant-based products. He also used Young Living’s therapeutic essential oils to support his mind, body and spirit.

While I was trying to get pregnant in 2004, I was introduced to Young Living products and started using the essential oils to support my hormonal balance. Slowly, I rid my cabinets of toxic shampoo, conditioner, soaps, laundry detergent and household cleaners to avoid exposure to endocrine disruptors. To use Young Living parlance, I was an eager adopter of “Ditch and Switch.”

Young Living is at the core of my health and wellness journey. Plant-based and toxin-free products continue to be an integral part of my life, and I’m delighted to share this journey with you!
